221 Cases of Crime against Children Happened in South Jakarta

The case of crime against children happened in the capital city is quite high. It is recorded that since 2011-2013, 185 cases were handled by South Jakarta Resort Police. Those cases include physical violence until sexual harassment.

While in 2013-April 2014, there were 36 cases,” stated South Jakarta Resort Police Chief Sr. Comr. Wahyu Hadiningrat on the sidelines of a Workshop on Prevention of Sexual Violence to Children in the presence of kindergarten-elementary school teachers at State Vocational School (SMKN) 57, South Jakarta, Wednesday (5/7).
Moreover, Hadiningrat told that to minimize criminal acts and sexual harassment against children, preventive ways are needed.
